Category Analyst – Purdue University (Remote/Hybrid)

We are hiring a Category Analyst to lead category management practices, complete the full procurement lifecycle, and deliver enterprise‑wide cost savings for Purdue University.

The Category Analyst will be a subject‑matter expert in category management, managing all contracts within an assigned portfolio from acquisition planning to contract close‑out.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing on enterprise‑impact contracts.
• Consult the Legal team for complex contracting issues.
• Receive and analyze data from the Systems Team.
• Work with Supplier Diversity to ensure diverse supplier engagement.

Hybrid Position: Remote work most days; occasional on‑site days at West Lafayette campus.

• BA/BS degree.
• Minimum 2 years of procurement or contract management experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office.
• Equivalent education and experience combination considered.

• Business, Management, Finance, or Supply Chain Management degree.

• Excellent organization, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to learn policies, procedures, and execution strategy for multiple solicitation methods.
• Knowledge of contract management and compliance principles.
