What does a Premium Auditor do?

Our field auditors meet with clients' policyholders onsite, virtually, or via phone, typically at the end of the policy period, to review business operations and financial records such as payroll, sales, and costs. They verify class codes per industry and client standards as required by insurance contracts.

• Schedule appointments with clients to conduct audits and gather information
• Submit audit reports via web-portal and Davies’s exclusive software
• Communicate with clients by phone, email, and face-to-face
• Examine payroll and tax records of commercial businesses
• Evaluate operational practices
• Adhere to customer standards and quality expectations
• Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity

Qualifications:

• Must live in the specified geographic area
• Accounting or bookkeeping experience helpful but not required
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Numbers-oriented with analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to use deductive reasoning to solve problems
