The Customer Success Analyst is responsible for reporting, data mining, data analysis and project support for the Sales team as well as the customer. The role reports to the customer’s business, data, and IT team and works with internal business partners involved in managing, determining, and maintaining data, supporting the customer’s utilization of company data. Responsibilities include providing recurring reports, developing ad‑hoc reports, analyzing data, presenting results, identifying business problems, and leading or participating in IT‑related projects such as new report development and system enhancements.

Being part of the Customer Experience team involves understanding and managing interactions between UNFI and our customers throughout the entire journey.

• Assess sales data for the sales team, analyze monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports to identify sales patterns, areas for improvement, contract compliance, and supplement UNFI fill‑rate reporting and specific customer requests.
• Assess market data, including competitors, to identify opportunities for the sales team.
• Use Access, Excel and other tools to identify root causes and develop solutions to company and customer business issues.
• Provide guidance on solutions, recommend business process changes, and develop metrics.
• Develop analytics on sales data by customer to determine opportunities for product assortment versus top‑selling items.
• Create sales and revenue forecasts using economic conditions, pipeline analysis, booking estimates, and key performance indicators.
• Gather, analyze, and provide forecast information for sales, products, and customers in the assigned territory.
• Assist in preparing sales materials and work with Operations to determine delivery status and out‑of‑stock product arrivals.
• Support the customer’s data and IT teams in resolving data issues, and submit IT Service Requests to automate reports and enhance system functionality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of sales analyst experience (preferred).
• Understanding of sales forecasting, programs, promotions, margin and company profitability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, CRM and other company systems.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data based on customer needs.
• Root cause analysis, solution research, modeling of change options, and recommendation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage and coordinate projects.

This position follows a hybrid schedule, working in the office a certain number of days per week. The acceptable split between onsite and remote work is determined by the manager. The role may require occasional travel to company offices, distribution centers or other locations for meetings or business reasons.
