GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director for its Consulting Services business in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain. The role is pivotal in driving the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa META region’s business development and commercial strategy. Reporting to the META Regional Leader, the Director will create demand and maximize revenue through increased orders. The role involves developing and executing a robust business development strategy, acting as an active partner to external customers, industry groups, and internal GE Vernova teams, and promoting consultative advisory engagements on energy transition and decarbonization solutions.

Functions / Responsibilities
  • Actively drive business development in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain to deliver order targets.
  • Execute the commercial strategy in the sub-region focusing on customer segmentation, competitive differentiation, and key stakeholder access.
  • Execute the growth strategy of Consulting Services with a focus on the sub-region via consulting engagements aligned with GE Vernova’s priorities.
  • Position Consulting Services externally and ensure a “one Vernova” approach among internal businesses, driving closer connections among GE Vernova strategy organizations.
  • Track industry trends and identify customer problems to inform, develop, and execute the strategic commercial playbook.
  • Drive growth targets via collaboration with global Practice Leaders, focusing on expansion of Grid Integration & Stability, Power Economics, data centers, and Software offerings.
  • Identify and cultivate new customers to create demand and business opportunities.
  • Develop projects with customers; contribute to proposal preparation; and present to customers/industry stakeholders.
  • Build a strong partner network in the sub-region with major consulting firms to jointly bid for large‑scale studies covering expansion planning and energy transition.
  • Leverage existing and develop new industry and customer partnerships with developers, investors, utilities, system operators/owners (TSOs/DSOs), regulators, NGOs, cross‑sector disruptors, and energy industry organizations.
  • Act as an energy industry influencer, leading in industry forums/events to promote GE Vernova solutions and technology.
  • Help create a high‑energy collaborative work environment with a sense of identity and pride.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, electric power engineering, science, economics, mathematics, or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of the Energy/Utility landscape in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
  • Proven track record of business development success and building out new markets/customers.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in power systems sales, business development, and sales strategy.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to travel 30‑50%.
Desired Characteristics
  • Master’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or public policy.
  • Experience in business/deal negotiations.
  • Established relationships with TSOs, utilities, and government entities.
  • Deep understanding of power systems operations, planning, regulations, and equipment application.
  • Senior‑level energy industry experience in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, or Bahrain.
  • Experience in energy regulatory issues and policy.
  • Ability to motivate and influence individuals and teams.
  • Lean mindset.
  • Network with policy‑making bodies, power plant developers, and broader energy organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, written and oral, and familiarity with contemporary media and tools for consultative selling.
