Business Development Administrator – Surf Internet
OverviewThe Business Development Administrator will support the Director of Business Development, providing assistance with specific assignments or projects directed through the Director on behalf of the CEO.
Key responsibilities include interacting with a variety of internal teams such as Regional Development Managers, Market Managers, Marketing, Construction and Grants. The role functions as a liaison between business development, the teams, and stakeholders in our served markets.

Job Status: Exempt
- Assist the Director of Business Development with management of strategic memberships and travel plans.
- Coordinate events, meetings, and sponsor ships on behalf of the CEO.
- Maintain the Director’s schedule and calendar, providing necessary reminders.
- Track important milestone dates and proactive ongoing efforts.
- Set up and at times contribute to or conduct meetings.
- Manage multiple emails for the Director and occasionally the CEO.
- Collaborate with other teams and team members across disciplines.
- Use platforms such as Monday, Hub Spot, Microsoft 365, and Site Tracker.
- Travel locally or regionally on occasion to markets served by Surf within the Michiana footprint (Elkhart, St Joseph, Laporte).
- Support activities related to real‑time market intelligence as directed by the Director.
- Edit newsletters sent to a variety of stakeholder audiences.
- Help manage business development related expenses.
- 3–5 years of experience in an administration role supporting director level or above in an office setting.
- Telecommunications industry experience helpful but not required.
- Experience in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment helpful but not required.
- Ability to work well and partner across multiple disciplines including Sales, Marketing, and communications.
- Strong presentation and organizational skills essential.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (in‑person, physical activations, online video).
- Strong computer skills with experience using platforms such as TEAMS, spreadsheets, Hub Spot (CRM).
- In‑office work setting with ability for some off‑site remote work.
