This role supports business operations by assisting in the analysis, documentation, and improvement of processes across customer markets. The Business Analyst works closely with senior analysts and leadership to ensure smooth onboarding, client experience, and operational efficiency.
The Business Analyst will contribute to the success of new business initiatives by supporting process documentation, data analysis, and reporting. This role is ideal for someone early in their business analysis career who is eager to learn, collaborate, and grow within a dynamic team. This position reports to the Business Process Consultant who oversees work across implementation, case setup, contracts, EDI, billing, data coordination, and client experience.

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
- Assist in documenting and analyzing business processes and workflows
- Support the development of standard operating procedures and training materials
- Prepare reports and dashboards using Excel, SBM, SQL, Power
BI, and other systems as identified - Participate in quality audits and process reviews to help identify areas for improvement
- Help track and report on inventory, billing, and client onboarding metrics
- Provide administrative support for systems and tools used in operations
- Support cross-functional teams in implementing process improvements

Required Qualifications- 1 years of experience in a business operations or customer-facing role
- Proven intermediate skills in MS Excel, for example, formula use, pivot table creation and updating, chart and graph creation, etc.
- Proven solid attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proven effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Presently employed within UHC Consumer Operations
- Experience with Financial Protection (Life, Disability, Leave, Supplemental Health) products and/or operations
- Experience working with implementation, installation, enrollment & eligibility or billing functions
- Familiarity with systems such as Facets, OnBase, SBM
- Familiarity with reporting and analytic tools such as SQL, SSRS, PowerBI
- Interest in ongoing development around process improvement or project management
