About the Role
We're looking for an experienced product manager to lead a new product experience focused on pain neuroscience.
As a PM you will focus on building an experience that includes: knowledge about how pain works, mindset strategies to help members move with greater confidence and safety, and skill building for daily life.
You will own the strategic vision and execution of your product area, drive growth, and positively impact user engagement and therapeutic outcomes.
What makes you a great fit- You notice subtle things about products and people (e.g. micro frustrations and delights)
- You anticipate non-obvious user problems when you look at product experiences or before you present at product reviews.
- You develop higher-quality hypotheses about product experiences to build, even in the face of ambiguity.
- You’re right more often than not about what impact a change to a flow has on metrics.
- When faced with two competing feature ideas, you can accurately predict which one will be better for customers.
- When faced with a scope call, whether a feature is in or out for a release, you can find the right balance between shipping value sooner by building less, but still solving the customer problem.
- When faced with different design solutions, you can pick the solution that customers will more easily understand and be able to adopt and use.
- You understand how all the features in a product are connected together, and you can predict with accuracy which workflows and paths your customers will take, and how design changes will impact those paths.
- Take a major role in defining product vision, strategy, and objectives for this new treatment modality.
- Help develop and implement product-development practices, particularly related to rapid iteration.
- Ship features within a cross-functional team, working closely with design, engineering, sales/marketing, and the clinical team throughout the whole process.
- Work directly with executives and founders as the voice of your product team.
- Track usage analytics, and member impact of launches.
- Ultimate responsibility for shipping products with meaningful business results, on time.
We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.
BasicQualifications
- Significant product management experience (5+ years), specifically in consumer facing features, platform products, service orchestration, and API integrations.
- Strong technical background or fluency, with demonstrated experience implementing API-based products.
- Demonstrated success working with cross-functional product and platform teams, defining domain boundaries and integration points clearly.
- A proven track record balancing quick wins alongside long-term technical investments.
- Strong consumer product instincts and experience building personalized user experiences that drive consumer engagement.
- Support and continuously optimize sprint processes and rituals (ticket writing, PRDs, grooming, QA, retrospectives), striving always to improve pod speed, efficiency, and predictability.
- Serve as an advocate for your engineering and design counterparts, providing clear direction and appropriate context to drive productive collaboration.
- Maintain a healthy balance between immediate feature wins and foundational platform work to enable long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Take complete accountability for your product area's performance, metrics, and outcomes—operating with a CEO-like sense of ownership.
- Develop and evangelize a clear strategic vision for the platform, understanding and aligning with company-wide goals and objectives.
- Refine your product intuition, anticipating user needs, identifying subtle friction or opportunities for delight, and prioritizing effectively between competing features or design solutions.
