Certification Specialist Consultant

Overview:

Bizsentials Consulting is seeking a Certification Specialist Consultant to assist businesses in obtaining essential certifications that enhance credibility, expand opportunities, and increase access to government and corporate contracts. This role is ideal for an expert who understands certification requirements, application processes, and how to leverage certifications for business growth.

• Guide businesses in obtaining certifications such as:
  • Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
  • Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB)
  • Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB)
  • Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
  • HUBZone Certification
  • Small Business Administration (SBA) Certifications
• Assess client eligibility and provide recommendations on the best certifications for their business.
• Assist in the completion and submission of certification applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Advise clients on documentation requirements and gather necessary paperwork.
• Work with business owners to ensure they meet certification renewal requirements.
• Educate clients on how to leverage their certifications to win contracts, funding, and new business opportunities.
• Stay updated on changes in certification processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Provide guidance on supplier diversity programs and how certified businesses can benefit.

• Proven experience in business certification consulting, supplier diversity, or procurement.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and private sector certification processes.
• Strong understanding of business compliance, licensing, and documentation.
• Excellent research, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple clients and manage applications simultaneously.
• Experience assisting businesses in securing contracts or funding through certification programs is a plus.

• Experience working with government agencies, supplier diversity programs, or corporate procurement.
• Familiarity with certification directories and portals such as SAM.gov, SBA.gov, and WBENC.
• Prior experience advising small businesses, nonprofits, or startups on certification strategies.

• Contract-based position with compensation per project or hourly consulting rate.
