Proposal Writer

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for creating and submitting compliant proposals to the Department of Defense and other government agencies, and/or commercial customers in the aviation industry. This position requires excellent writing skills, attention to detail and a strong understanding of the government solicitation process. This is a full-time position working onsite at the King Aerospace Home Office in Addison, Texas.

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field
• At least two years of writing / editing experience in proposal, business, technical or grant writing.
• Aviation industry experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple proposals under deadlines
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Collaboration with internal teams (business development, finance, SMEs)
• Experience with proposal templates and response software

• Proven ability to write clear, accurate technical documentation. Ability to proofread and edit reports. Effective verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to calculate simple mathematical problems.

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Creative, problem-solving approach to projects.

• Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

• Standard office-based environment.

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit and talk or hear, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
