OverviewThis position serves our public/government sector clients in the San Antonio community. Living in the greater San Antonio metroplex or surrounding area is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and conduct one-on-one and group seminars for potential and existing participants within an assigned territory.
- Assist the Program Director in territory planning, execution strategies, and team building/development activities.
- Act as a financial resource by providing counseling and guidance on the features and benefits of defined contribution retirement savings plans to drive sales growth.
- Develop relationships with key entity contacts, especially at the department head level, to expand products and services within the plan.
- Support the Program Director with training on new presentations, product information, and policy or process changes.
- Lead a group of Retirement Specialists and serve as the point of contact for inquiries and problem troubleshooting.
- Lead special projects related to marketing, customer service, enrollment, and other administrative processes of the deferred compensation program.
- Collaborate with dedicated or regional home office teams to solve customer issues or improve field processes.
- Undergraduate studies in a related field (insurance, business, marketing preferred).
- FINRA Series 6 license required;
Series 63 and 65 may be necessary. - Three years of related experience in financial, sales, or educational services functions.
- Expertise in public sector business and knowledge of 457 plans plus additional financial products/services.
- Strong sales, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage a territory of clients and navigate political and economic landscapes to achieve business results.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and competencies are a plus.
Reports to Retirement Services Program Director; no direct reports.
Job Conditions- Travel within assigned territory required.
- May be required to work from home.
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record required.
