OverviewReporting directly to the Manager – Strategic Sourcing, the Procurement-Strategic Sourcing Analyst works collaboratively with Strategic Sourcing Manager, Category Analysts and Procurement team, Medical Directors, Hospital Directors, Clinical Managers, Support Services and Leadership to strategically provide support to the Category Manager Team, Operations, and vendor partners in everyday functions of their assigned categories.
LocationThis role will be onsite at our Worthington, OH location 4 days and work from home 1 day a week.
Responsibilities- Understand and analyze all aspects associated with the category, planning, and process.
- Generate, analyze, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data to support efficient management of the category and drive critical business decisions.
- Manage day-to-day vendor contact for all issues related to SKU set up, pricing, costs, product logistics, in-stocks etc.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing systems and analytical tools.
- Assist in negotiation/persuasion with suppliers and internal partners to make the best procurement decision.
- Regular quality checks for spend and savings data accuracy.
- Participate in Supplier appointments, presentations, scorecard creation and business reviews.
Our ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, business concentration with 1-3 or more years of sourcing management and/or data analysis experience.
- Analytical skills with ability to manipulate large volumes of spend data for analysis of supplier, product, and facility utilization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively and facilitate effective collaboration with internal and external audiences.
- Knowledge of sourcing and/or contracting process best practices and measurement techniques.
- Understanding of finance and accounting impact of assigned areas of spend.
- Ability and desire to work independently and with little oversight.
- Strong sense of culture and ability to influence behavior and drive change management.
- Ability to coach, train and provide feedback.
- Strong project management skills and process excellence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software – particularly Excel.
- Travel less than 10%.
