The Valenz mindset and culture of innovation combine to create a distinctly different approach to an inefficient, uninspired health system. About This Opportunity

As the Director, Product – Payment Integrity, you will be responsible for executing the product vision and roadmap for Valenz’s payment integrity solutions. This role translates product strategy into clear, actionable requirements and partners closely with engineering and cross‑functional teams to deliver compliant, high‑quality products. You will work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to support adoption, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement that enhances product value, performance, and outcomes.

What

You’ll Do
  • Contribute to the product vision and maintain a multi‑year roadmap for assigned payment integrity products, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Conduct market and competitive assessments across payer cost containment, claims editing, coordination of benefits, subrogation, analytics‑driven review, and clinical validation to inform product decisions.
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities, regulatory requirements, and industry innovations that impact product direction.
  • Define, track, and communicate product performance metrics, including customer value delivery, operational outcomes, and financial performance.
  • Translate product strategy into clear requirements, epics, and user stories supported by well‑defined business cases.
  • Apply data‑driven prioritization frameworks to manage and refine the product backlog and roadmap.
  • Lead product discovery, MVP scoping, and iterative planning using Agile methodologies.
  • Ensure products meet compliance, security, interoperability, and quality standards in partnership with legal and compliance teams.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and data science teams to advance both rules‑based and AI‑enabled payment integrity capabilities.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, customer success, and implementation teams to support go‐to‑market activities, product positioning, and customer adoption.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand workflows, validate assumptions, and evaluate product performance in real‑world environments.
  • Represent the product area in customer discussions and advisory councils, ensuring feedback is captured and translated into actionable enhancements.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • 8+ years of product management experience, preferably within healthcare, payer, or self‑insured environments.
  • Proven experience launching and scaling B2B or B2BC healthcare platforms (payment integrity, RCM, analytics, or digital health).
  • Strong ability to translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and execution plans.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with experience using data to prioritize decisions and measure product performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technology, operations, sales, and customer‑facing teams.
  • Comfort engaging directly with customers to gather insights, validate ideas, and support product adoption.
  • Experience with AI/ML‑enabled products, analytics platforms, or rules‑based decision engines.
A plus if you have
