Modern Woodmen of America is seeking a dynamic and experienced candidate to lead our Premium Services section in our Members’ Service and Imaging department. This team is responsible for the billing and collection of premiums through various methods including direct payments, bank debits, and allotment plans. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of excellence in customer service, mentor staff, and ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities- Supervise daily operations of the Premium Services section.
- Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and review work for accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee file transmissions between bank and payment processing software.
- Recommend and implement system and procedural improvements.
- Manage escalation processes for non-routine activities.
- Prepare responses to Department of Insurance inquiries.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Liaise with IT for system changes.
- Ensure compliance with Modern Woodmen’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain open communication and strong rapport with colleagues and field staff.
- Keep management informed of progress and challenges.
- Foster a professional and positive work environment.
- Develop and maintain a well‑trained, high‑performing team.
- Handle staff discipline, performance evaluations, and personnel decisions.
- Collaborate with Compliance on regulatory changes.
- Monitor customer service metrics and work quality.
- Participate in departmental projects and committees.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of five years of related experience.
- LOMA Fellowship designation.
- Familiarity with premium collection methods (direct payments, bank debits, allotment plans).
- Ability to cultivate a culture of excellence in customer service across the team.
- Proven leadership with strong emotional intelligence.
- Ability to develop and mentor team members.
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Pay: The annual pay range for this position is $70,000-$80,000. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
- Work Arrangements: This is a full‑time office‑focused, salaried position. Office‑focused positions work on‑site due to the nature of the work and have limited remote days.
