Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Council are looking to recruit a Systems Administrator to join our team based in Ipswich, Suffolk. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £27,694 - £31,022 per annum (pro rata).

This role is open to part time, and job share applications, all of which will be assessed equally.

We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our Finance Team.

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated problem solver to manage the day to day running of the councils’ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Key tasks will include:

respond to and manage the ERP system support mailbox, ensuring that queries are dealt with and resolved in a timely manner

provide customer service to colleagues across the Councils on the ERP system

maintain, monitor and review system processes, interfaces and procedures

support the development of the ERP system, covering purchase to pay (P2P), accounts payable, general ledger, accounts receivable, budget/forecasting and monthly, quarterly and annual reporting

keep relevant practices, systems and financial procedures up to date and undertake checks to ensure they operate accurately and effectively

as required, support colleagues and work with relevant partners to ensure robust and accurate financial information

About you

You should have experience of using financial systems (preferably Unit
4) and working in a finance department. You will demonstrate a good understanding of the financial and accounting environment.

We are looking for a team player who is highly co-operative and effective when working with others. You should be able to prioritise and manage tasks and apply a flexible approach to problem solving.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Finance systems, are essential for this role.
