This position sits in the Air Optimization team within Global Supplier Partnerships and is responsible for setting and executing strategy for the optimization of air content.

GBT has the most valuable corporate travel marketplace which has been cultivated through our close partnership with suppliers who wish to provide attractive customer offerings to our premium client base, but these suppliers require us to produce insight and improved performance in return.

The Air Optimization Team ensures preferred suppliers who provide us with the best content receive foremost support by leading strategies and deploying technology and tools to highlight the key attributes and benefits of these products to our clients. This way they can make the best purchasing decisions and as a result, our premium client base would continue to grow, and we would create a virtuous circle driving value for both our preferred suppliers and our customers.

The candidate will work across the GBT group of companies to align commercial objectives, translate these into a clear strategy that optimizes customer value, air partner value and GBT revenues. Key in this role is to establish a deep understanding of the offer intelligence capabilities available across the various channels used by our travelers to be able to effectively deploy solutions to support customer choice and ultimately achieve our commercial objectives.

The candidate also needs to be able to work with the various cross‑functional business groups to execute strategy towards set goals and report on status and opportunities based on thorough data analysis. In addition, the candidate needs to understand the rapidly evolving travel landscape and drive initiatives that ensure our business continues to thrive into the future. He/She needs to be well infused with the GBT technology roadmap, optimization programs and technologies used in our distribution channels.

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, have a strategic mindset and be able to grasp the various aspects of supplier and client travel economics to set and deploy data grounded strategies and drive cross functional implementation. The candidate will be able to identify short versus longer term goals is able to lead cross functional key stakeholders towards success.

• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong innovator, driver of change, balancing technology solutions versus investment and revenue.
• Strategic and structural thinker: able to create strategies based on an analytical, data driven mentality but also feels comfortable in driving that into hands on implementation.
• Online retailing, product management, UX/UI experience, management would be a plus.
• A strong understanding of travel distribution and travel economics.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and influencing people at all levels of the organization or at partner organizations, setting common goals and delivering according to plans.
• Feels comfortable utilizing Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar and has strong and has extensive experience in analysis on data sets.
• Ability to develop a quick understanding of new industry trends and technology developments / opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral), fluency in English & strong presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, an attention to detail and ability to deliver within deadlines.
• Preference for EMEA based, US is also considered.
