Business Development Manager - Exhibitions | High-End Custom Build

Location: UK (Remote-first, with occasional face-to-face meetings)

Working Model: Fully remote with periodic in-person meetings

The company delivers modular, bespoke, and hybrid exhibition stands
, creating solutions that reflect brand identity, strategic purpose, and marketing objectives. Working with a trusted supply chain and incorporating the latest industry trends, sustainability is embedded into projects wherever possible.

As part of an ambitious growth strategy, the business is now expanding further into high-end, custom build exhibition projects
, targeting premium and regulated sectors including pharmaceutical, finance, aerospace, and other high-value industries

The Opportunity

This is a key hire for a commercially driven Business Development Manager who can support and accelerate the company's move into high-value bespoke exhibition builds
.

You'll play a central role in identifying new opportunities, opening doors within target sectors, and converting complex exhibition projects. This role is suited to a true new business hunter who is comfortable working remotely, managing their own pipeline, and being fully accountable for results.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Driving new business growth with a focus on high‑end, bespoke exhibition stand design & build projects
  • Targeting and developing clients within pharmaceutical, finance, aerospace, and other regulated or premium sectors
  • Building strong, long‑term client relationships that lead to repeat business
  • Leading sales conversations from initial outreach through to close
  • Collaborating closely with design, project management, and delivery teams to produce winning proposals
  • Managing your pipeline through CRM and reporting into the Sales Director
  • Attending client meetings, exhibitions, and industry events, with occasional travel across the UK and Europe
What You’ll Bring (Non‑Negotiables)
  • Proven exhibition industry experience
  • A strong new business ("hunter") mindset
  • Demonstrable success selling high-value bespoke exhibition stands
  • Existing connections and credibility within premium or regulated sectors
  • Ability to work remotely with autonomy and accountability

Flexibility may be considered on sector background where strong exhibition experience is demonstrated.

Skills & Experience
  • Business development within exhibition design & build (agency-side preferred)
  • Consultative, solution-led sales approach
  • Negotiation and closing of complex, high-value projects
  • CRM pipeline management and reporting
  • Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
