Supply Chain Coordinator

Location: Derby
Salary: £26,000 per annum + performance-based bonus
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm
(Office-based with the option to work from home on Fridays)

Are you organised, detail-focused, and eager to build a career in supply chain and procurement?

We re working with a growing and fast-paced business in Derby that is looking for a proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across sourcing, purchasing and supplier management while developing valuable commercial and analytical skills.

You ll play an important role in supporting procurement operations and ensuring smooth supply chain processes, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in sourcing and purchasing components, raw materials, and finished goods

  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, confirm pricing, and ensure timely deliveries

  • Support purchase negotiations and maintain strong supplier relationships

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with forecasting to optimise inventory

  • Manage purchase orders and maintain accurate records

  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to align purchasing with business priorities

  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and contract packers

  • Identify opportunities for supplier improvements and cost efficiencies

  • Provide general administrative support, including reporting and data management

About You
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication

  • Confident Excel skills (data entry, analysis, and reporting are essential)

  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Power Point

  • Highly organised with excellent time management

  • Analytical mindset and a problem-solving approach

  • Degree-level qualification preferred (not essential with relevant experience)
