We are seeking a Staff Product Manager for Trust Accounting to shape the future of how property managers handle financial compliance and accounting workflows. You will define and execute the product strategy for our embedded trust accounting solution, ensuring it meets regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional user experience. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, legal experts, and accounting professionals to deliver a seamless and compliant trust accounting system.
You will engage in user research to understand the needs of property managers and accountants.
Remote work:
This is a fully remote role, but the candidate must be within NAM or EMEA to collaborate with the team, peers, and internal customers. You do not have to be in the specific country or city shown in this listing, but please only apply if you are physically based within NAM or EMEA. If you’re based in NAM, you’ll need to be in EST timezone to work as close as possible to the team.
Mission
- Develop and champion a product vision and roadmap for the Trust Accounting solution that aligns with the company strategy and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Plan and execute thorough customer research and analysis to understand the needs and pain points of property managers and accountants, translating insights and legal requirements into product specifications and user stories.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, user-friendly experiences that simplify complex accounting workflows.
- Partner with legal and accounting subject matter experts to ensure regulatory requirements are properly addressed while maintaining excellent user experience.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance needs, and user requirements.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation and design to development, testing, and launch of trust accounting features.
- Define and analyze success metrics to ensure the product meets compliance standards and simplifies financial operations for Property Managers.
- Spearhead the discovery of the reporting and insights layer, identifying essential compliance reports, dashboards, and financial statements to provide clarity, audit-readiness, and value to users.
- Significant experience in product management (typically 6+ years), with a focus on accounting software systems.
- Proven leadership in managing complex, cross-domain products from ideation to launch, collaborating with engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of financial operations, compliance and accounting systems, ideally in the US landscape.
- Strong customer empathy and ability to translate insights into impactful product decisions.
- Proven ability to own complex product strategies and deliver industry-leading solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and turn it into actionable insights.
- Ability to work with subject matter experts to translate pain points into tangible, user-centric but compliant product solutions.
