Portfolio Steering Analyst​/Business Analyst

We are looking for a Portfolio Steering Analyst / Business Analyst, based in London.

Collaborating closely with various departments such as Claims, Finance, IT, Pricing, and more, we prioritize seamless coordination to deliver top‑notch results and uphold exceptional standards across the board.

As a Portfolio Steering Analyst / Business Analyst, you will work closely with the Head of Portfolio Steering Marine and play a pivotal role within our London‑based team. Your primary responsibility will encompass conducting portfolio analysis and spearheading the creation of innovative underwriting tools. Your contributions will play a crucial role in guiding the global Line of Business (LoB) strategy towards sustainability and fostering profitable growth.

• Take ownership of data quality and report development for Power BI transition.
• Ensure data accuracy for quarterly ERC process in collaboration with Underwriting.
• Collaborate with pricing team for calibration and roll‑out of new pricing tools.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and develop reports aligned with business goals.
• Provide regular reporting and analyses to assist management in portfolio steering.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for portfolio tools.
• Oversee IT implementation for portfolio steering processes and tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in a numerical field such as Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or IT.
• Minimum of three to five years of experience in a data analysis role.
• Proficient computer skills, especially in Excel and VBA; familiarity with database applications is a plus.
• Strong aptitude for analytical thinking and problem‑solving.
• Ability to devise solutions considering intricate variables.
• Demonstrated commitment to data‑driven methodologies and a penchant for innovation, with a knack for introducing new digital workflows.
• Clear and effective communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences; prior experience in presenting results to stakeholders is advantageous.
• Excellent time management abilities to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Proven capacity to cultivate robust professional relationships.
• You should be able to integrate AI‑driven insights into your work to optimize outcomes and support broader organizational goals.
