Korker Sausages is a family-owned business with roots tracing back to a butcher’s shop in Rolvenden, Kent, established in 1959. Known for its signature Korker Sausage recipe passed down through four generations of the Hoad family, the company transitioned to wholesale production due to high customer demand. Under the leadership of Ed Hoad since 2014, Korker Sausages has expanded its operations, including larger production facilities to meet market growth.

The company is SALSA certified and a proud member of the British Frozen Food Federation. Korker Sausages is committed to delivering premium quality products while supporting the local community and workforce.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Manager based in Rolvenden, Kent, with some flexibility for remote work. The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and contributing to the development of sales strategies to meet growth targets. Responsibilities also include market analysis, attending networking events, creating proposals, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in expanding Korker Sausages’ presence and driving revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • Business development and sales expertise, including lead generation, client acquisition, and contract negotiation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Market analysis, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to align on objectives and deliver results
  • Proven experience in the food and beverage industry or related fields preferred
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
