Role:
Costs Drafter
Working arrangements: hybrid working, based at Wigan or Manchester with home working.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm – 35 hours per week. We are also willing to consider between 30 and 35 hours per week.

The RoleYou will play a pivotal role in providing a full costs service to our clients, enabling them to have their costs claims billed and submitted to the relevant bodies for payment. You will apply your experience and expertise to obtain reductions in relation to opponents costs.
- You will work on mainly paying party files
- Consider costs claims
- Prepare points of dispute
- Negotiate and deal with the matter through to and including assessment of costs by the courts
This role offers the opportunity to combine your passion for the legal costs field with your analytical skills, applying it to a diverse workload and in turn making a meaningful contribution to the established Costs Team. YouTo be successful you will be an experienced Costs Drafter and/or costs negotiator.
The TeamOur team is diverse and made up of qualified and unqualified drafters, so you will receive plenty of assistance and training. Stephensons works hard to diversify within the industry; we have a large marketing department, a new enquiry centre that deals with all new enquiries, a strong internet presence and other activities to generate work, so you can focus on what you do best.
We have a great training program, including frequent in-person and online training and regular meetings with supervisors, so you will be fully supported in your role.
