Capital One is looking for a Process Manager to thrive in understanding how things work and constantly challenging the way we can improve them. The role involves mapping business processes, mitigating business risks, ensuring the right controls are in place, and continuously improving them.

• Participate in Capital One’s process transformation by defining and implementing process improvement agendas, driving efficiencies to create better customer experiences.
• Use techniques and tools such as Visual Management, Business Process Management, Lean, Six Sigma to define, manage and improve processes.
• Apply process improvement methods such as variation reduction, waste elimination and risk mitigation techniques.
• Identify and manage process risks, building effective preventative and detective controls, and partner with risk management and data analysis teams.
• Apply management skills, including communication and change leadership, to drive key priorities such as technology changes and continuous improvement.
• Identify operational breakdowns and inefficiencies through KPIs to streamline and simplify processes.
• Analyse and improve existing processes to ensure consistently great customer outcomes.
• Ensure processes comply with enterprise standards and regulations.
• Partner with technology, intent owners, delivery teams, and vendors to ensure smooth change delivery.
• Manage risks and events; remediate impacts and fix issues in a timely manner.
• Identify impacts to the risk environment and new potential risks.
• Work with analysts to create new controls where needed.
• Review processes end‑to‑end, from the business and customer perspective, to deliver opportunities that positively impact performance and help achieve business objectives.

• A keen attention to detail and the ability to understand key operational processes, systems and technology.
• Understanding of Collections processes (preferred).
• Experience with decision making and problem solving, and the ability to combine business experience and insights from diverse sources to make effective recommendations.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders to drive business decisions and ensure execution aligns with process definition.
• Strong business judgement, leadership, and integrity; a balanced approach to business with a strong customer focus.

This is a permanent position based in Nottingham. The role follows a hybrid working model: office‑based 3 days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) with flexibility to work from home as needed.
