Working Pattern:

This role does require office presence with limited opportunities to work from home. (Expectation 3-4 days in office per week). Occasional travel to various NCA sites may also be required.

Business Management Officers fulfil the day to day running of critical functions across the Investigations Command, through the many Multi‑Threat / Borders Teams and other Business areas, in helping protect the public from serious and organised crime. Officers will be aligned to support an operational team supporting the G4 Senior Business Management Officer in delivering a quality service flexible to their needs whilst working as part of a wider team supporting the Command as a whole.

Successful candidates for these roles will need to demonstrate an ability to work with accuracy at pace, to manage a busy schedule, identifying the most pressing tasks and prioritising the essential over the desirable, and to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including members of Senior Leadership Teams.

This role does require office presence with limited opportunities to work from home. Occasional travel to various NCA sites may also be required.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing Business Management Services – Provide business, administrative, secretarial management to Operational Teams / Business Area or Operations HQ functions as tasked.
  • Data Analysis – Search, collate and analyse data from multiple sources / data systems.
  • Respond to Queries – Monitor Email / Business Area Inboxes / Telephone queries received, and respond appropriately providing advice and escalating if required.
  • Administration – Provide administrative support to the Operation Team / Business Area, including preparation of documents, typing and coordinating departmental correspondence, arranging meetings, diary management, minute taking, booking car reservations, organising events in support of departmental activity.
  • Acting as a Single Point of Contact – Act as the departmental single point of contact (SPOC) in support of Business Area functions.
  • Building and Maintaining Working Relationships – Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with members of the Operational Teams / Business Area / Senior Leadership Teams including wider Internal and External stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance – Carry out effective and timely quality assurance of held data, processes, assist the development and improvement of these respective assurance themes.
