Business Services Assistant

Description

We are recruiting for a Business Services Assistant to join our Dumfries office and widen the Business Services Service Line.

The Role
  • Completing draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and companies ready for review by a Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager
  • Completing draft business tax computations ready for review by a Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager
  • Preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping assignments and management accounts for clients
  • Ensuring all necessary client records are present before starting an assignment
  • Ensuring that personal tax information is obtained from the client during the course of the accounts production and passed to our Tax team in a timely manner
  • Drafting appropriate meeting agenda points and meeting packs for Business Services Assistant Managers / Managers

The Candidate
  • A Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
  • Either AAT, ICAS, ACCA or ACA qualified (or be "Qualified by Experience")
  • Experience of working in an Accounting capacity at an Accountancy practice
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • A dedicated team player, and willing to assist colleagues in the team where possible
  • Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Able to use initiative and have great organisation / problem solving skills
  • Keen to become part of a dynamic team
