Finance Business Partner

Responsibilities

• Support all financial reporting including the month‑end process, business forecasting and budgeting.
• Conduct regular business performance analysis to identify opportunities and work with the team to implement improvements.
• Challenge and support business decisions using data‑driven insights.
• Drive accountability for financial performance across business units.
• Identify risks and opportunities that impact business performance.
• Support the Sales team in providing accurate supply and demand forecasting.
• Analyse product, customer, and channel profitability to identify opportunities to increase margin and revenue.
• Lead financial evaluation of new business opportunities and support development of customer trade plans.
• Work with operational teams to recommend actions that improve profitability while supporting growth.
• Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis to support decision making.
• Develop operational plans that drive same‑store‑level (LFL) sales growth and increased margins.
• Ensure delivery against weekly, monthly, and annual budgets.
• Continuously question and challenge the value delivered through commercial agreements.

• Communicate complex information effectively; act as a role model of clear and persuasive communication.
• Create an environment where teams are encouraged and developed to communicate effectively.

• Identify and develop all team members to support succession planning, dedicating time to coaching and mentoring.
• Value and respond to different personal needs to promote inclusiveness.

• Influence and persuade the direct team and senior leaders within a complex work environment.

• Advanced data analysis and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to partner with non‑finance stakeholders and translate financial data into clear insights.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with post‑qualification experience.
• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a food‑processing or manufacturing setting.

This role is office based in Truro, Cornwall. There may be opportunity to work from home.
