The Vacancy

We are recruiting a Development Apprentice to join our Partnerships Team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in development while working towards a degree‑level apprenticeship in the built environment.

Introduction to the role

At Chime Housing we provide vital services that help people to live better lives. Our Partnerships Team plays a key role in delivering new, high‑quality homes for rent and sale across our communities.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Development Apprentice who is keen to start a career in development, learn on the job, and contribute to the delivery of new homes that make a real difference.

To undertake a degree apprenticeship while supporting the Partnerships Team in the appraisal, delivery and completion of new home developments, contributing to high performance and successful project outcomes.

What’s the role?

Key Accountabilities:

  • Supporting the appraisal and viability assessment of new home development opportunities
  • Assisting with the delivery of new homes for rent and sale, including handovers to operational teams
  • Supporting customer communication and engagement with local stakeholders and residents
  • Assisting with procurement activities, supply chain payments and general project administration
  • Helping to monitor cashflow and produce periodic reports
  • Taking part in team, project and programme meetings
  • Supporting wider team activities and corporate events
What are we looking for?
  • GCSEs at Grade 4 or above in Maths and English Language
  • Minimum of 96 UCAS points
  • A demonstrable interest in development or the built environment
  • Positive and adaptable, with a willingness to learn
  • Self‑motivated, organised and reliable
  • A good communicator and team player, able to use initiative
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Any experience, study or work exposure related to construction, housing or development
