  • Intermediate knowledge level of Excel – you must have a working knowledge of Excel’s functionality, and an ability to perform data preparation and cleansing.
  • Communicating analysis and insight – you must be able to extract key findings from analysis/reports and use appropriate media to communicate findings, tailoring this to the end-user’s requirements.
  • Verification and validation of data and analysis – you must understand basic data issues and conduct checks to ensure that the data (and analysis) is accurate. You must also understand the concept of data being fit for purpose as well as the context of the data.
  • Undertaking analysis and providing insight – it would be desirable if you understand and can work with colleagues to apply core techniques for analysis and providing insight, and present clear insights that colleagues can understand and use.
  • Experience of using Business Intelligence software – it would be desirable if you have experience of working with business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
