We're looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Transport Development Analyst to join our Transport Development Team. This is a pivotal role where you'll transform complex transport and operational data into actionable insights that improve performance, efficiency, compliance, safety, and cost control across our national network. Working closely with Transport, Operations, Fleet, Finance, HR, IT and senior stakeholders, you'll lead the development of reporting, dashboards, and digital solutions that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst who is passionate about leveraging technology to drive operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop and maintain transport performance reporting across fleet, cost, safety, compliance, and driver metrics.
  • Design and manage Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools that drive operational decision-making.
  • Build Power Apps and digital solutions to improve efficiency and automate processes.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, savings opportunities, and performance improvements.
  • Monitor key transport KPIs including fuel usage, vehicle utilisation, route efficiency, compliance, and driver performance.
  • Support transport audits, investigations, and data-led improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Transport, Operations, Finance, HR, and IT to deliver business-focused insights.
  • Provide expertise, training, and support on transport systems, reporting, and data solutions.
  • Continuously drive operational excellence through data, automation, and technology.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar data-focused role.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, Power Apps, Databricks, SQL, and data visualisation.
  • Experience analysing large datasets to deliver actionable business insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform and wider Microsoft tools.
  • Experience with in transport, logistics, fleet, or supply chain operations is desirable.
  • Knowledge of transport compliance, telematics, tachograph analysis, and fleet management systems (including TACHO master) is advantageous.
