Position: Charter Events Manager (Cruise Ship)
Location: Purfleet-on-Thames

Working Pattern

Hybrid (2 days per week in the office, 3 days working from home)

Travel

International travel required - a valid UK passport and full UK driving licence are essential.

Overview

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Charter Manager to oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of bespoke charter cruises and themed events from start to finish.

A charter cruise is when a company, organisation, travel group or special‑interest group books all or part of a cruise ship for a private event. This could include corporate events, themed cruises, incentive trips or exclusive group bookings. Your role is to ensure every aspect of the charter is delivered seamlessly, providing an exceptional experience for both clients and guests.

Responsibilities Before the Cruise
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Plan and organise charter events and themed cruises
  • Create and manage project plans and schedules
  • Coordinate suppliers and key stakeholders
  • Ensure all teams understand their responsibilities
  • Manage budgets and monitor project costs
During the Cruise
  • Act as the main point of contact for the client
  • Ensure all events and activities are delivered as planned
  • Resolve any issues quickly and professionally
  • Work closely with ship management and onboard hotel teams
  • Oversee the smooth delivery of the charter from start to finish
After the Cruise
  • Gather feedback from clients and internal teams
  • Review project successes and identify areas for improvement
  • Produce post‑charter reports
  • Recommend improvements to enhance future charter experiences
