We're looking for a Governance & Compliance Business Partner who can work collaboratively with operational leaders, provide independent assurance and help embed a culture of accountability, integrity and continuous improvement across the business.
RoleResponsibilities
- Support the development, implementation and continual improvement of governance, compliance and risk management frameworks across Environmental Services.
- Deliver risk-based audits, inspections, reviews and assurance activities to assess compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Identify compliance risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement, providing clear and practical recommendations.
- Partner with operational, commercial and support function teams to provide governance and compliance guidance and support.
- Maintain and support management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, supporting certification audits and continual improvement initiatives.
- Experience with in governance, compliance, risk management, assurance or auditing functions.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK.
- Experience conducting audits, compliance reviews or assurance assessments within an operational or regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management and compliance principles.
- Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to analyse information, identify trends and provide meaningful business insight.
- Experience working with management systems and continual improvement methodologies.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
