About the Job you are considering:
The Regulatory Business Analyst is responsible for analysing regulatory requirements, assessing business impacts, and translating obligations into business and technology solutions. The role works closely with business stakeholders, compliance teams, technology teams, and project delivery functions to ensure regulatory initiatives are delivered effectively and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
Business Analysis
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops and requirements elicitation sessions.
- Produce Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), and user stories.
- Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability.
- Support solution design and implementation activities.
Regulatory Analysis
- Interpret regulatory policies, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct regulatory impact assessments.
- Identify compliance risks and business impacts.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to clarify regulatory obligations.
- Support regulatory change programmes and remediation initiatives.
Process Improvement
- Analyse current-state business processes.
- Design future-state operating models.
- Identify process gaps and optimization opportunities.
- Develop process maps and operating procedures.
- Recommend automation and efficiency improvements.
Testing and Validation
- Define acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
- Support SIT and UAT activities.
- Validate implementation against business and regulatory requirements.
- Manage defect triage and resolution support.
- Ensure successful delivery and business sign-off.
Your Skills:
Essential
- 3-7 years of Business Analysis experience.
- Experience with in Financial Services.
- Regulatory change and transformation programme experience.
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
- Experience conducting workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies.
Desirable
- Experience supporting regulatory programmes.
- Wealth Management or Retail Banking experience.
- Knowledge of investment products and operations.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Exposure to risk, compliance, or governance functions.
