Job Role

Ringway Surrey is looking for a Scheduler to join our team, supporting the effective planning and coordination of highway maintenance and improvement works across the Surrey network. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem solving, and can confidently manage multiple work streams while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Duties
  • Develop, maintain and update works schedules and programmes in line with operational requirements.
  • Coordinate customer enquiries, operational requests and asset management system updates.
  • Ensure all works comply with NRSWA and Traffic Management Act (TMA) requirements.
  • Support operational teams with resource planning and work allocation.
  • Manage permitting activities and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Coordinate reactive and emergency works, including 2-hour and 24-hour response activities.
  • Act as a key point of contact between operational teams, clients and stakeholders.
  • Respond to client requests and support wider hub operations.
  • Produce accurate reports and performance data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Person Specification
  • Previous scheduling, planning or coordination experience.
  • Experience working within highways, utilities, infrastructure or a similar operational environment.
  • Knowledge of NRSWA and permitting requirements (desirable).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confidence using planning, scheduling and asset management systems.
  • The ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
