Job Overview
The team comprises a mix of Accountants and Surveyors, currently with a complement of nine. The team acts for many well‑known brands including Next, Sainsbury's, EE, Amazon, and Waterstones.
Each client has personalised mailboxes and filing systems. The role will involve monitoring these mailboxes and assigning actions to team members via databases, requesting documents, and, where appropriate, dealing with queries from Clients, Landlords and Managing Agents.
Each client has specific KPIs and reporting requirements that must be met, including various weekly and monthly reports and any additional ad‑hoc reports as requested.
The role involves analysing various documents and, where necessary, challenging costs received by our clients. Given current pressures on retailers, this work is essential for maximising clients’ profitability and for ensuring expenditure is diligently controlled.
The team is a key area for growth within the wider WSP GL Hearn business, and we have secured new mandates in the last six months for Fatface, Oak Furniture land and Ingeus.
Responsibilities- Provide bespoke advice to major occupier clients in respect of service charges and insurance.
- Manage and grow your own client base and case load with a view to taking on more responsibility with increased experience.
- Develop excellent business relationships with new and existing clients.
- Assist with the preparation of tenders and business generation activities.
- Integrate fully in the wider WSP network and develop relationships with key WSP GL Hearn retail service lines, including Lease Advisory, Town Planning and Valuation, to promote the team and leverage opportunities.
- Detailed knowledge of service charge statements and case law.
- MRICS qualified.
- Good general surveying and property/asset management skills.
- Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial attitude to business development.
- Ability to work autonomously and coordinate tasks efficiently to ensure deadlines are met.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook).
