Project Support Officer

ASA Recruitment’s client, a Public Sector organisation in Edinburgh are currently looking to recruit a Project Support Officer for an initial 12 month contract (with potential extensions) on a rate of c.£250-£300/day inside of IR35 (based on experience). This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week onsite in the Edinburgh office and 3 working from home.

The Role:

Our client is undertaking a portfolio of business change and digital projects to achieve its ambition. This interim worker, an experienced Project Support Officer, will primarily support an Enabling Services Modernisation Programme which will fundamentally review and redesign their enabling services which include:
Business Support, People Services, Corporate Office and Digital.

• Strong experience of supporting major projects or change initiatives in the Public Sector, with an ability to adapt to inevitable change.
• Expert knowledge of, and experience in, creating project documentation and artefacts.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and balance multiple competing demands in a fast paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders
• Experience collecting, analysing, and presenting data to a diverse range of stakeholders. Proficient in the use of project management tools and business tools (such as Microsoft applications).
• An interest in or foundational knowledge of project management, with a willingness to develop in this area.
• Experience providing administrative or secretariat support.
• Awareness of risk and issue management in project or service delivery.
