- Finding innovative ways to attract new customers and ensure our products meet their needs.
- Redesigning elements of our card pricing approach to maximise value.
- Creating strategies to support our customers to manage their finances, build their credit, or protect them (and us) from fraud.
To set you up for success we ask that you are currently studying towards a STEM or Economics degree and have a Maths A Level (or equivalent).
Outside of subjects, we’re looking for someone who:
- Has excellent quantitative skills
- Can solve complex business problems with a data-driven approach
- Has clear and effective written & verbal communication
- Is motivated to drive business change
- Has curiosity to learn and take ownership of your work and development
And don’t worry, you do not need any prior coding experience - we will train you up.
What’s in it for youAs a Strategy Analyst intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging work that has a real impact on our business and our customers.
We will invest in you, with technical skills training when you first join, and personal development support throughout your time with us. We’ll help you to become a well‑rounded analyst, a strategic thinker, and a great communicator.
Where and how you'll workThis is a ten‑week fixed‑term position based in either our Nottingham or London office.
We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You'll spend three days a week in the office (Tue/Wed/Thur), with Monday and Friday being optional work‑from‑home days.
What you should know about how we recruitWe pride ourselves on hiring the best people, not the same people. Building diverse and inclusive teams is the right thing to do and the smart thing to do. We want to work with top talent: whoever you are, whatever you look like, wherever you come from. We know it’s about what you do, not just what you say. That’s why we make our recruitment process fair and accessible.
We value diversity, inclusion and belonging at our core. We empower our associates to do great work by creating an inclusive culture—one that values diverse perspectives, fosters collaboration and encourages innovative ideas—and a place where associates of all backgrounds can thrive by bringing their most authentic selves to work. We call this our Culture of Belonging, and it rests at the heart of our business.
Our associate‑led Business Resource Groups were created to help support our diverse population and include over ten groups across our offices. Because each Business Resource Group is as unique as the population it serves, they offer a range of activities, networking opportunities, special events and learning programmes to associates.
Capital One is committed to diversity in the workplace.
