About The Role Global Opportunities Support Officer (Outbound)

This full-time post is available immediately on apermanent basis

The starting salary will be from £30,878on Grade D, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home.

The Role

As a Global Opportunities Support Officer (Outbound), you will play a key role in supporting students throughout their study abroad journey. You’ll act as a primary point of contact for outbound mobility programmes, providing clear guidance, accurate information, and high‑quality administrative support from recruitment through to departure. The role involves maintaining student records, coordinating communications, assisting with events, and ensuring processes run smoothly and consistently.

Working closely with colleagues across the University, you’ll help enhance the overall outbound student experience and contribute to the efficient delivery of Global Opportunities activities.

About You

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a busy environment and is committed to delivering an excellent student experience. You will bring strong planning and communication skills, enabling you to work confidently with a diverse range of people while managing multiple deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail. You will have experience providing high‑quality administrative support, maintaining accurate records, and supporting process improvements.

You will be confident using a variety of digital tools—including Microsoft Office, Teams and SharePoint—and adaptable to new systems and ways of working. We are looking for someone who builds positive working relationships, contributes to a supportive team culture, and approaches challenges with a solution‑focused mindset. Above all, you will be motivated to support students throughout their outbound mobility journey, ensuring they receive clear, consistent and friendly guidance at every stage.
