About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Remote Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance for their operations, with a focus on the Mpumalanga region. This fully remote role is essential for ensuring the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will play a key part in developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs. Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program across the organization.
- Monitor adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those specific to the Mpumalanga area.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and vulnerabilities.
- Investigate compliance concerns and breaches, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees at all levels.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise management on their impact and necessary adjustments.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in law, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or internal audit.
- In-depth knowledge of South African regulatory frameworks relevant to the company's industry.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote interaction.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage compliance initiatives effectively from a remote location.
