The Market Access Specialist supports the Manager, Market Access & Government Affairs in the execution of reimbursement, market access, government affairs, and stakeholder engagement initiatives that improve access to Coloplast products and services across Canada. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the role provides project coordination, analytical support, reimbursement expertise, and stakeholder engagement support to advance patient access objectives.
The incumbent partners closely with Commercial, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Consumer Care, and Global teams to develop reimbursement submissions, stakeholder engagement plans, value communication materials, and market access initiatives that demonstrate the clinical, economic, and patient value of Coloplast's chronic care portfolio.
Through effective execution and stakeholder collaboration, this role contributes to improved patient access, supports business growth, and strengthens Coloplast's reputation as a trusted healthcare partner in Canada.
This position allows for a remote work arrangement for candidates that do not live within a commutable distance to the office location. Those local to the Oakville, ON area would be expected to follow the hybrid work arrangement for office-based employees.

Market Access and Reimbursement Support- Maintain knowledge of Canadian reimbursement frameworks, funding programs, and payer requirements.
- Support the development and execution of market access plans and reimbursement initiatives led by the Manager, Market Access & Government Affairs.
- Prepare and coordinate reimbursement submissions, funding applications, value dossiers, and supporting documentation for public and private payers.
- Gather, analyze, and summarize reimbursement, policy, and market access information to support business decision making.
- Monitor reimbursement and funding developments and communicate relevant insights to internal stakeholders.
- Support the development and maintenance of relationships with government, payer, industry, clinical, and patient advocacy stakeholders.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings, advocacy initiatives, and external engagement activities.
- Maintain stakeholder databases, engagement plans, and project documentation.
- Monitor policy, legislative, and reimbursement developments and provide updates to the Market Access & Government Affairs team.
- Support the development of reimbursement, health economic, and value communication materials.
- Synthesize clinical, economic, reimbursement, and healthcare system evidence into stakeholder-facing resources.
- Coordinate collection and validation of scientific, clinical, sales, and business data used in market access initiatives.
- Support adaptation of global evidence packages, tools, and resources for the Canadian market.
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and activities across reimbursement, government affairs, and market access projects.
- Support collaboration with Commercial, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Consumer Care, and Global teams.
- Track project milestones, risks, and action items to ensure timely execution.
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects assigned by the Manager, Market Access & Government Affairs.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in political science, government affairs, health policy or related discipline
- 3+ years' experience in market access, reimbursement, health economics, healthcare consulting, government affairs, public policy, or related healthcare field.
- Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system, including provincial and federal funding mechanisms, reimbursement processes, and health policy development.
- Understanding of the pricing/reimbursement environment and the government/payer review process within the medical device/life science industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret clinical, economic, reimbursement, and healthcare utilization data.
