At GBRX, we are at the forefront of transforming the railway industry, driving innovation, and delivering complex projects that push the boundaries of transportation. We are seeking an Analytics Engineer.

At GBRX, we foster a values-driven culture rooted in curiosity, pioneering spirit, and tenacity. By applying a first principles approach, we tackle the most complex challenges in railway modernisation, pushing the boundaries of what's possible and driving transformative change. Our mission is to reshape the future of the railway and improve customer experiences within the railway industry.

About the role

This is a rare opportunity to join a newly forming team and play a key role in shaping the future of external funding and partnership development across the industry.

This role will provide project management and delivery support for the development and implementation of our funding and partnerships strategy. Working closely with the Business Development Lead, you will help identify and progress external funding opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and build a sustainable pipeline of investment that supports technological innovation and industry-wide transformation.

You will coordinate activity across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring opportunities are effectively assessed, prioritised, progressed and governed. The role will support the development of compelling funding proposals, facilitate partner engagement, and drive delivery plans that maximise the likelihood of securing external investment.

Working within regulatory planning and control period frameworks, you will help ensure funding and partnership activities align with regulatory requirements, strategic objectives and wider business priorities.

We're looking for an experienced project manager with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills who can bring structure, pace and coordination to a diverse portfolio of opportunities. You will build strong relationships across the rail industry and beyond, helping to establish partnerships that attract external funding and investment.

The successful candidate will have experience managing complex projects and stakeholders, ideally within funding, partnerships, innovation or business development environments. They will be comfortable working with ambiguity, coordinating multiple work streams simultaneously, maintaining opportunity pipelines, tracking dependencies and risks, and ensuring opportunities progress from concept through to funding application and delivery.

You will be a proactive problem solver, capable of translating strategic ambitions into practical actions, bringing together the right people at the right time, and supporting the successful execution of our funding and partnership objectives.

This role can be based in either London Kings Cross or York and requires working from the office at least 3 days per week.
