About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and results-oriented Partnership Development Officer to join their team, operating remotely to support initiatives in Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape. This role is crucial for identifying, cultivating, and managing strategic partnerships with other organizations, businesses, and community groups that align with our client's mission. You will be instrumental in expanding our network, leveraging collaborative opportunities, and enhancing our impact.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and relationship builder with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving collective action towards social good.
- Identify and research potential partners, including corporations, foundations, government agencies, and NGOs.
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations to secure new partnerships and collaborations.
- Cultivate and nurture strong, long-term relationships with existing partners.
- Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate joint projects and initiatives with partners to maximize impact and reach.
- Represent our client in relevant networks and at industry events to promote collaborations.
- Monitor and report on the progress and success of partnership activities.
- Proven experience in partnership development, business development, or strategic alliances, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the non-profit landscape and community needs in the Eastern Cape .
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.
