About the Role
Our client, a leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a meticulous and data-driven Category Analyst to join their fully remote team. This role is essential for supporting category management and driving profitable growth by providing in-depth analysis of sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior. You will work closely with Category Managers to identify opportunities, support strategic decisions, and measure the effectiveness of category initiatives.
This is an excellent remote opportunity for an analytical professional passionate about the FMCG market.
- Analyze sales data, market share, and promotional effectiveness for assigned FMCG categories.
- Develop regular reports and presentations on category performance, insights, and recommendations.
- Support Category Managers in assortment planning, pricing strategies, and promotional planning.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends relevant to the FMCG market.
- Assist in forecasting category sales and inventory requirements.
- Utilize various data analysis tools to extract and interpret relevant information.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, category analysis, or insights, preferably within the FMCG or retail industry .
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with market data sources such as Nielsen or IRI is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting findings to stakeholders remotely.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or a related analytical field is required.
