The Lead Process Business Analyst will provide process methodology leadership, quality assurance, and senior business engagement across the process estate.

The role is responsible for leading complex process design and improvement activities, ensuring adherence to agreed process standards, and maintaining consistency and quality across process deliverables. The successful candidate will work closely with Process Owners, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business Analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to validate processes, resolve design challenges, and drive stakeholder consensus.

The role will also play an important part in developing process capability by coaching Process Analysts and promoting the reuse of established process patterns, frameworks, and assets.

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

Process Leadership Lead complex end-to-end process design, analysis, and improvement activities across multiple business functions.

Facilitate cross-functional workshops to understand current-state processes, identify pain points, and define effective future-state processes.

Lead engagement with Process Owners to ensure accountability, alignment, and effective decision-making.

Identify and resolve complex process design issues, dependencies, and conflicts.

Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for simplification, standardisation, and optimisation.

Ensure that process changes align with wider business objectives and operating models.

Drive consistency in process design across the broader process estate.

Quality Assurance Provide quality assurance across process analysis and design deliverables.

Ensure adherence to agreed process methodologies, standards, governance frameworks, and documentation requirements.

Review, challenge, and approve process deliverables before formal business sign-off.

Identify quality gaps and ensure appropriate remediation actions are completed.

Maintain consistency of process documentation and design standards across functions and initiatives.

Support the development and continuous improvement of process governance and quality standards.

Capability Development Coach and mentor Process Analysts and Business Analysts on process methodologies and best practices.

Provide quality reviews, guidance, and constructive feedback on analyst deliverables.

Promote the reuse of proven process patterns, templates, methodologies, and assets.

Support the development of process analysis capability and consistent ways of working across teams.

Share lessons learned and best practices across the process community.

Skills:

Essential Strong experience as a Senior / Lead Business Analyst, Process Analyst, or Process Improvement professional within a complex organisation.

Demonstrable experience leading complex end-to-end process design and process improvement initiatives.

Strong experience facilitating workshops involving multiple business functions and senior stakeholders.

Experience working directly with Process Owners and SMEs to define, validate, and approve processes.

Strong knowledge of process mapping, current-state / future-state analysis, gap analysis, and process optimisation.

Experience performing quality assurance and peer reviews of business process deliverables.

Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps, challenge assumptions, and resolve complex process design issues.
