This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Systems & Resource Manager to lead operational excellence and drive innovative service delivery.
Salary/Benefits- Competitive hourly rate of £20.66
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (4 days in the office, 1 day work from home where operationally feasible)
- Temporary position with potential for further opportunities
Joining a large, dynamic public sector body, you'll be part of the Sports Services Unit, which plays a vital role in promoting health, wellbeing, and community engagement through sport and leisure activities. The organisation works within a collaborative environment, utilising cutting-edge ICT systems and innovative management practices to enhance service delivery across diverse facilities and programmes.
About you- Minimum of a Level 6 qualification or degree (or proven equivalent experience)
- At least three years' experience managing operational or administrative functions within a similar setting
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract monitoring, and quality assurance standards (such as Customer Service Excellence)
- Proven ability to lead teams, implement business improvement strategies, and develop operational plans
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Lead the Sports Services Unit's quality assurance initiatives, including external validations like Investors in People and Customer Service Excellence
- Oversee procurement activities, ensuring compliance with council policies and procedures
- Manage business support services to optimise income streams, including Vitality Membership and ICT systems such as Leisure Management software and Legend Leisure Management software
- Coordinate and review service delivery, ensuring efficiency and high standards through policy reviews and process improvements
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to maximise service impact and community participation
