About the Role
Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing team in Randburg . This hybrid role offers the opportunity to leverage your analytical skills to optimize procurement processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve overall supply chain performance. You will be responsible for analyzing spending patterns, evaluating supplier performance, and providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making.
This position is perfect for an individual who enjoys working with data and contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement operations within a collaborative setting.
- Analyze organizational spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on procurement metrics, savings achieved, and market intelligence.
- Support the sourcing and negotiation teams with data analysis and market research.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance, identifying areas for improvement or potential risks.
- Assist in developing and refining procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a procurement analyst , data analyst, or similar role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with procurement software and ERP systems is advantageous.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
