Regulatory Compliance Officer
An opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Compliance Officer based at our Castle Donington office. Travel to other locations throughout the distribution business should be anticipated.
In this role you will report to the Regulatory Compliance Team Manager and will play a key part in training, assurance checks, managing queries, providing feedback and disseminating information to the rest of the organisation.
Main Responsibilities- Work closely with the Head of Regulatory Compliance, and the Regulatory Compliance Team Manager, to support delivery of all Regulatory Compliance Team accountabilities
- Deliver a programme of training, including to field teams, graduates, apprentices, central functions and contractors
- Liaise with procurement teams to ensure training requirements are met by all relevant contractors involved in works subject to regulatory obligations
- Manage field compliance related queries
- Undertake programme of dip checks, and provide feedback to local teams to improve quality of information and evidence
- Continually stay abreast of regulatory policies applicable to NGED and coordinate and disseminate changes to regulatory obligations and guidance
- Update SharePoint, as needed
- Assist with managing year-end regulatory reports and coordinate collation of submissions from others, where required
- Assist with handling complaints at Stage 3 and 4 of the published process, when required
- Provide daily/weekly updates to Regulatory Compliance Team Manager on agreed reporting points
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the grade to support the wider Regulatory Compliance Team
The successful candidate will ideally have significant experience in a regulated environment, and can demonstrate an understanding of regulatory compliance, RIIO ED2, and regulations relevant to electricity distribution, or a proven track record that shows the ability to quickly pick up the knowledge and apply as required.
You will have the ability to convey complex strategic ideas and proposals to a wide range of audiences in a structured and logical way. You will also have good communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical abilities and have excellent attention to details.
Due to travel across the distribution services areas, a full clean driving licence is preferred.
As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working. Hybrid working can only be considered once your initial training is complete and subject to business need.
