Our client, a progressive national logistics company, is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Fleet Operations Analyst to join their team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within South Africa, supporting operations primarily focused around the Stellenbosch region and its associated supply chains. You will be instrumental in analyzing fleet performance data, identifying trends, and recommending strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety across the fleet.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent data interpretation skills, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. You will contribute significantly to the strategic decision-making process for fleet management.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to fleet performance, including fuel consumption, mileage, maintenance costs, and driver behavior.
- Develop reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
- Identify areas for improvement in fleet efficiency, cost reduction, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with field operations teams to implement recommended changes and monitor their impact.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and strategies to optimize fleet operations.
- Prepare presentations and summaries of findings for management review.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), SQL, and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
