Location: home working with occasional travel to London site
Contract: upto 6 months (circa March 2026)
Rate: Up to £400 per day (Umbrella, inside IR35)
Client: Major Public Sector organisation

An Interim Commercial Manager (home working/London) to join a major public-sector organisation and play a key role in to progress a volume of high value, business critical procurement and sourcing activity.

• This is a hands-on commercial role for someone with solid experience working in procurement , delivering complex commercial solutions, knowledge of public sector procurement legislation and commercial principles

This will suit someone from Healthcare Commercial background with proven ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, using initiative to manage multiple competing priorities (typically 15 to 20 projects concurrently with;

• Experience working in procurement or contract management, delivering complex commercial solutions within public sector environment
• Strong commercial experience - healthcare background
• Knowledge of public sector procurement legislation and commercial principles (Public Contracts Regulations (PCR) 2015, the Procurement Act 2023)
• Evidence of experience in developing effective requirements and evaluation criteria
• Evidence of strong stakeholder management skills
• Evidence of ability to multi-task and support and manage multi procurement activities at the same time
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, suppliers and wider commercial teams

• Public-sector procurement-healthcare background, with experience of any category or services or consumables.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with proven experience working collaboratively across business teams.
• Able to provide clear commercial advice and guidance to stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of, and practical experience in applying, the Public Contracts Regulations (PCR) 2015, the Procurement Act 2023. Proven experience using public sector frameworks
• Experience leading end-to-end procurement and tender exercises, including (drafting procurement documentation, managing clarifications, coordinating evaluations.
• Experience managing framework call-offs, contract variations, change control processes, and short-form contractual agreements throughout the procurement and contract lifecycle.
• Experience developing and contributing to business cases and procurement strategies, operating within public sector and central government governance frameworks
• Able to remote home base work with occasional travel to London site for the length of contract
