The internship position within the Producer Services department of The Standard involves a wide range of duties and activities. The goal of an internship is to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world situations, as well as gain the skills and experience that is necessary to prepare the student for a successful career in business and related fields.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Analyze operational processes to identify pain points, root causes, and opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and the overall producer experience.
- Support business transformation initiatives by documenting workflows, gathering requirements, evaluating data quality, and recommending practical solutions to recurring challenges.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of procedures, training materials, SharePoint content, and knowledge resources to promote consistency and scalability.
- Leverage Microsoft 365, reporting tools, automation, and AI-enabled technologies to streamline processes and improve operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Producer Services leaders and cross-functional partners to address operational, compliance, compensation, data, and technology-related business needs.
- Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement efforts that help Producer Services become more proactive, data-driven, workflow-enabled, and easier to do business with.
- During the duration of the internship the candidate will be assigned to one manager to oversee their day-to-day work, however, there may be opportunities to work with several different teams in the division.
The work will be conducted in an all-virtual remote environment.
Qualifications:- Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students for the duration of the internship.
- Rising sophomores, juniors, seniors and students pursuing advanced degrees are welcome to apply.
- Sponsorship is not available for this internship opportunity.
- Preferred majors in Business, Finance, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills as demonstrated by previous work experience, and/or course of study.
- Experience working with MSOffice suite including Excel, Teams, Outlook.
- Experience in AI tools preferred.
- Up to three days of paid time off, plus paid holidays.
- Scheduled events to network with your team and interns across the company.
- E.g.:
Coffee with the CEO, careers workshop, etc. - Interns are provided with all necessary equipment (i.e., laptop, monitor) needed to work from home and will attend the company’s virtual First Day Orientation to gain a deeper understanding of the company.
Individual pay rates will be determined based upon current student status (i.e. Sophomore, Junior, Senior).
