Client Onboarding Specialist – Capital Markets

We are currently seeking candidates for a Client Onboarding Specialist position with a highly successful financial services firm located in Boston, MA. The Client Onboarding Specialist will support client onboarding, technology implementation, process improvement, and automation initiatives within Capital Markets operations. The ideal candidate will have 8–10+ years of relevant experience with a background spanning client onboarding, Capital Markets operations, project management, product ownership, or business process improvement.

This is a 6–12-month contract position paying between $60–$70/hour, depending on experience. The Client Onboarding Specialist will work onsite in Boston, MA, four days per week, and work from home one day per week. Candidates must be local to the Greater Boston area and willing to work onsite four days per week in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities
  • Drive client onboarding initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation.
  • Partner with Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders on onboarding and change initiatives.
  • Support the rollout and expansion of onboarding technology across Capital Markets products.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and system requirements for technology teams.
  • Coordinate data mapping, field-level requirements, integrations, and implementation activities.
  • Manage project priorities, dependencies, issues, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate across areas including FX, securities lending, outsourced trading, and other Capital Markets products.
  • Support testing, implementation, and change-management activities tied to new systems and process enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing onboarding tools, workflows, and automation capabilities.
Qualifications
  • 8–10+ years of relevant experience within Capital Markets, client onboarding, operations, product, or project management.
  • Strong Capital Markets experience within financial services or investment management.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting client onboarding and operational processes.
  • Experience managing technology-driven business initiatives and system implementations.
  • Strong background in process improvement, workflow redesign, and automation.
  • Experience with data mapping, system requirements, and cross-functional technology projects.
  • Ability to work effectively across Operations, Technology, and business teams.
  • Strong project management, communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple products and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
