Job Description

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Purchasing Officer to join their team, operating entirely remotely. This role involves managing the procurement of goods and services to meet operational needs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. You will be responsible for identifying suppliers, negotiating terms, and maintaining strong relationships, all while working independently from your chosen location.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and select vendors for various goods and services, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Stay informed about market trends and new sourcing opportunities to optimize procurement strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar procurement role.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and build strong supplier relationships remotely.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with diverse stakeholders via digital channels.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
